Breadly
Terms of Service
Last updated: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Breadly app and website (the "Service"), operated by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Breadly", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/EEA where local law requires it) to use Breadly. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you can form a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us at joachim@noobwork.no if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Breadly Plus subscription
- Plan: Breadly Plus costs $4.99 USD per month and includes a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Trial: You will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and you will be charged the monthly fee.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically each month at the then-current price until cancelled.
- Cancellation: You can cancel at any time from the Stripe billing portal, accessible via your Breadly profile. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Plus access until that date.
- Taxes: Prices may exclude applicable taxes. Where required, VAT or sales tax is calculated and added at checkout by Stripe.
- Payments: All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
See our Refund & Billing Policy for refunds and the EU/UK consumer right of withdrawal.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Attempt to access another user's account, scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service.
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense the Service or its content.
- Upload content (e.g. notes, reflections) that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, infringing, or otherwise harmful.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.
5. Intellectual property
Scripture text. Bible passages shown in the in-app reader and lessons are taken from public-domain translations (e.g. the World English Bible, King James Version, American Standard Version, Bible in Basic English). Those texts are not owned by us.
Breadly content. The Breadly name, brand, logo, app design, original lesson copy, exercises, illustrations, and code are the intellectual property of [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial study.
Your content. You retain ownership of notes, reflections, and other content you create. You grant us a limited license to store and display it back to you as needed to operate the Service.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Breadly is a study tool and does not provide spiritual, theological, medical, legal, or professional advice.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law (for example, mandatory consumer rights).
8. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; if we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will continue to apply.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
